Creek Connections Nature Camp for Young People (Ages 12–17 Years) Darwin - Rapid Creek, Ludmilla Creek, Sandy Creek

Celebrate the Wet Season this school holidays with Creek Connections Nature Camps: a four-day program designed for young people aged 12–18 years. This immersive nature camp invites participants to explore their local creek catchments as they come to life with water, colour and movement.

Sign up for one day or join us for the full program!

Each day is packed with activities that connect young people with nature, art and local knowledge. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Walk local creeks and observe seasonal changes

  • Spot native birds, butterflies and other wildlife

  • Join night-time spotlighting sessions

  • Take part in hands-on art workshops inspired by nature

Led by local artists, youth workers and wildlife experts, including youth worker Mitch Rose, Larrakia knowledge-holder Leslie Gordon, and artists and educators Janie Andrews, Emma Lupin, and Nalani Sawyer.

The camp offers flexible participation. Young people can join the full program in their local catchment or attend individual days that suit their schedule. Each experience is designed to spark curiosity, build skills and strengthen connections to local places.

Program Highlights:

  • Local creek walks and seasonal nature discovery

  • Creative sessions with artists and educators

  • Cultural learning guided by Larrakia knowledge holders

  • Engaging activities grounded in place and community

Creek Connection Nature Camps helps young people step into local action, guided by knowledge, creativity and care.

These sessions are designed for young people 12 - 17 years. Adults should only attend if the young person needs a support person — please get in touch with us education@landcarent.org.au if this applies.

Young people can sign up for one or all sessions within the program - if you wish to attend all, just book one ticket per child for each activity.
