Larrakia Community-led Projects

The Larrakia Community-led Projects supports Larrakia people to spend time on Country, share knowledge, strengthen culture, and lead activities connected to four local creeks.

The program supports activities connected to Ludmilla Creek, Gurambai (Rapid Creek), Sandy Creek, and Mitchell Creek. Whether your idea focuses on cultural knowledge, environmental learning, community connection, storytelling, creative projects, or caring for Country, we encourage you to apply.

Funding is available for a range of activities, including:

• Up to $1,000 for single-day activities, walks, storytelling, knowledge sharing, and small gatherings.

• Up to $3,000 for workshops, collaborative projects, documentation, and multi-day activities.

• Bigger ideas are welcome too. Get in touch to discuss larger funding and support.

After your activity, we'll ask for a short reflection, story, photo, audio recording, or a quick yarn about how it went. This process is intended to be relaxed and supportive, and any stories, photos, or recordings will only be used with your consent.

Support is available at any stage, we're happy to have a yarn about your ideas and help you through the process. Please contact projects@landcarent.org.au
