Youth Rangers
Program

The Youth Rangers Program is a hands-on opportunity for young people aged 14–17 to learn, explore and care for Country alongside the Larrakia Nation Rangers.

Delivered across four key creeks on Larrakia Country — Rapid Creek, Ludmilla Creek, Sandy Creek and Mitchell Creek — the program combines outdoor learning, environmental conservation, cultural knowledge and practical landcare skills. Participants will explore local waterways, monitor wildlife, take part in restoration projects and build connections with Country, community and each other. Supported by a culturally safe team experienced in working with young people and removing barriers to participation.

As part of the program, young people will also work towards a Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, while gaining confidence, practical skills and pathways into future education, training and employment.

Whether you’re passionate about nature, keen to learn new skills, or looking to spend more time outdoors, Youth Rangers offers a unique chance to learn by doing and make a positive difference in your local environment.
