A special for teachers to get inspired
This event is for teachers looking to learn more about how to include birdwatching in their school activities. Led by Mitch Rose, a local bird watcher, youth worker and committee member for BirdLife Top End.
There will be a general introduction to bird watching, including how to spot and identify birds common birds of Darwin, as well as information on how to participate in The Aussie Bird Count and Birds in Schools programs, both run by BirdLife Australia.
We will learn how to conduct a standardised bird surveys, collecting data on the Bird Data app.
Things to bring:
Hat & Sunscreen.
Insect Repellent.
Water Bottle.
Snacks.
Comfortable shoes and clothes for walking and sitting outdoors.
