Accessible Bird Outing (March)

$10.00

Sunday 7th March 2027 | Jingili Water Gardens | 8am–10am

Join local youth worker, birder and nature conservation advocate Mitch Rose for a relaxed, accessible birdwatching experience at Jingili Water Gardens.

Mitch is a certified Access Birding Outing Leader, trained in facilitating inclusive birdwatching experiences for people of all abilities.

This slower-paced outing is suitable for people living with disability, neurodivergent people, carers, support workers and anyone seeking a welcoming and accessible way to connect with nature.

Along the way, we'll explore the local birdlife, learn basic bird identification skills and enjoy the opportunity to slow down and appreciate the natural world around us. Binoculars will be available to borrow, and no previous birdwatching experience is required.

With a friendly, supportive atmosphere and a focus on connection with nature and community, everyone is welcome!

Additional Information:

  • Meeting location and specific accessibility information will be provided upon RSVP.

  • Participants should bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes.

  • The outing is suitable for all ages and experience levels.

  • Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Carers and support workers are welcome to attend.
