Birds and Butterflies - Mitchell Creek

$15.00

Saturday 29th August, 8:00-10:00am at Mitchell Creek

This is a relaxed guided walk suitable for all ages and experience levels. We’ll be exploring the monsoon forest and woodland habitats around the creek while learning how to spot, identify, photograph and record birds, butterflies and other wildlife using the iNaturalist app.

The walk will be guided by Mitch Rose, a local youth worker, birder, naturalist and conservation advocate and is all about slowing down, paying attention to the natural world around us, and learning practical citizen-science skills while connecting with nature. Whether you're interested in colourful butterflies, curious birds or just getting outdoors, everyone is welcome.

Additional Information:

  • Participants should bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes.

  • While this experience is suitable for all ages, children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
