Botanical Explorers - A Creative Journey into Creekside Plants

Friday 25th September, 4:30-6:30pm at Mitchell Creek

Young people and families are invited to explore Mitchell Creek and discover the plants and animals that live along its banks. Through a guided walk, participants will learn how to observe and document nature using drawing, leaf rubbings, and simple printing techniques. Inspired by both artists and scientists, participants will create the first pages of their own botanical journal while exploring the patterns, textures, and stories of the creek environment.

Additional Information:

  • This is event is for all ages, though recommended for children 7 years and over.

  • Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Adults accompanying children are not required to purchase tickets.

  • Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle.
