A guided walk designed for young people
Introduction to Butterfly & Insect Watching is a relaxed walk along Ludmilla Creek. It’s a chance to explore monsoon forest and woodland habitats while learning how to spot, photograph, and record butterflies and other insects using the iNaturalist app.
Each walk is guided by Mitch Rose, a local youth worker, naturalist, and conservation advocate.
These walks are about discovering local insects, learning practical citizen-science skills, and contributing to conservation while connecting with nature.
Bring along your hat, walking shoes, water bottle, sunscreen and snacks.
Please note that the uneven terrain throughout the site is not suitable for wheelchairs. Please keep an eye out for accessible events as they become available.
